Young People with Parkinson’s Disease

logo_blue_small.gif Hi! It’s amazing to think that there are over 6,000 South Australians with Parkinson’s Disease. While PD traditionally affects people 50 or older, many reports indicate that 10% of all PD patients have symptoms – or are diagnosed – before the age of 45. This is where I fit in. My name is Richelle and I am a 22 year old who was given the title of a Parkinson’s sufferer at the age of 17. I decided there wasn’t enough information out there for people my age, so I decided to fix the problem. These pages contain information for young people with Parkinson’s Disease, their family and friends.

There is more information about me and the reason for this site in the Who are we page, so please browse around and send me an email with any comments or questions you may have. Enjoy!
